Description
This is Lexi, my mom's new dog (and my new sister!)! We got her from a rescue group, and the poor thing is such a scared little baby! She's between 2 and 3 years old. She is proving to be quite a challenge for my mom, but she is also so, so sweet (and totally adorable!!!)!! We don't know what her past was before she ended up at a high-kill shelter, where she was in danger of being killed, and then was thankfully rescued. She's really scared of people, though....even me, a super duper dog lover! So I don't know if she was abused, or if she just had little to no socialization. She's bonding with my mom, but will still run from her at times. So we're doing lots of reading up and doing our best to help her settle down and settle in. Any prayers for her and my mom would be so appreciated!!

Thank you so much, Rosalie!! She finally loves me now, along with my mom, so that is great!! However, she still is scared to death of most other people! We're taking her to a behaviorist, but we're now thinking maybe a trainer would be better....? :)))

Aww, thank you so, so much, Joni!! Yes, it is very slow going, but she is getting a little bit better! She's still pretty scared of people, besides my mom, now! :)))
